Travel Insurance Policy
Policy Wording
This policy details the terms, conditions, and exclusions for each insured who is shown as having paid the insurance premium and whose name is shown on the Insurance Schedule. The policy wording and Insurance Schedule must be read together as both documents form the contract of insurance between insurers and you.

Definitions
The stated below words and/or phrases wherever they appear have the following meaning:
Abroad
Outside the geographical borders of the country of residence.
Accident
The bodily Injury suffered during the validity of the policy, which derives from a violent, sudden, external cause and one that is not intended by the Insured.
Catastrophe
An event where the insured person is necessarily and unavoidably required to move from their pre-booked and pre-paid accommodation as a result of fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, storm, tempest, hurricane, flood, medical epidemic, or Local Government directive.
Covered Trip
An intended and planned trip undertaken by the Insured outside his Usual Country of Residence. The maximum duration of any one Covered Trip is 92 consecutive days.
Deductible or Excess
The amount of expenses which is not Covered by the Insurer, and that are to be paid by the Insured Person before the Policy Benefits become payable.
Sudden Illness
Any sudden change in health diagnosed and confirmed by a legally recognized Doctor during the life of the policy and which is not comprised or derived from Congenital disease or Pre-existing disease.

Personal Assistance & Medical Cover
1. Emergency Medical Expenses
In the event of an Accidental Injury or Sudden Illness occurring outside the Usual Country of Residence, the Assistance Company will meet the usual, customary, necessary, and reasonable costs of hospitalization, surgery, medical fees, and pharmaceutical products.
2. COVID-19 Coverage
If the appropriate additional premium is paid, coverage includes Emergency Medical hospitalization for COVID-19 (if PCR positive 72 hours after arrival). Limit: 10 days maximum hospitalization.
3. Emergency Dental Care
Restricted to the treatment of pain, infection, and removal of the affected tooth.
4. Medical Evacuation & Repatriation
The Assistance Company will take charge of transferring the Insured to a properly equipped medical facility or repatriating them to their country of residence if necessary.
Other Medical Benefits
- Extension of Stay: Costs of hotel/accommodation if extension is medically certified.
- Repatriation of Mortal Remains: Transport to the place of interment in the usual country of residence.
- Compassionate Visit: Travel and stay for one immediate family member if Insured is hospitalized for more than 7 days.
- Escort of Minor Child: Provision of a suitable person to look after children under 18 if the Insured is hospitalized.
Trip Cancellation & Delay
1. Trip Cancellation & Curtailment
Indemnification for irrecoverable deposits and charges if the trip is cancelled/curtailed due to:
- Death, injury, or illness of Insured or immediate family.
- Jury service, witness summons, or major damage to home.
- Strike, riot, fire, flood, or adverse weather affecting transport.
- Visa failure (if applied for 21 days prior).
2. Delayed Departure
Compensation for meals/accommodation after 24 hours delay due to strike, weather, or mechanical breakdown.
3. Missed Event
Reimbursement for ticket costs of sports/music events missed due to injury, illness, or transport breakdown.
4. Missed Flight Connection
Expenses for replacement flight tickets if a connecting flight is missed due to delay of the incoming public common carrier.
Luggage Assistance
1. Loss of Checked-in Luggage
Compensation supplementing the carrier's liability for lost luggage. Minimum 21 days for luggage to be considered lost.
2. Delayed Luggage
Reimbursement for essential clothing and toiletries if luggage is delayed (period specified in schedule).
3. Loss of Credit Card
Coverage for unauthorized transactions for the first 24 hours after loss/theft (must be reported within 6 hours).
4. Loss of Passport/Documents
Expenses for obtaining new passports, driving licenses, or national identity cards abroad.
5. Loss of Laptop
Coverage for loss/theft of laptop (police report required within 24 hours).
Personal Accidents
Coverage for bodily injury resulting solely from external, violent, visible, and accidental means causing:
- Accidental Death
- Permanent Total Disability
- Permanent Partial Disability

Personal Liability & Legal
Personal Liability
Indemnification for legal liability for accidental bodily injury to third parties or damage to their property.
Advance of Bail Bond
Provision of bail bond required by criminal judicial authorities (must be refunded by Insured).
Legal Assistance
Reimbursement of expenses for judicial actions to obtain pecuniary repair of physical damage.
Hijack/Kidnap
Benefit per hour of incarceration if prevented from reaching destination due to hijack (limit applies).
Golf Section
Golf Equipment Cover
Cover for loss, theft, or damage to own golf equipment (repair or replacement cost).
Hole-in-one
Reimbursement for customary food and beverages up to $300 (excluding alcohol) for celebrating a hole-in-one.
Golf Liability
Indemnification for legal liability while playing or practicing on a recognized golf course.
General Exclusions
The following are generally excluded from cover:
- Pre-existing medical conditions (unless declared and accepted).
- Claims arising from war, terrorism, or radioactive contamination.
- Participation in hazardous sports (motor racing, skydiving, etc.) without extension.
- Suicide, self-inflicted injury, or mental disorders.
- Influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Pregnancy/childbirth complications.
- Pandemics/Epidemics (except specific COVID-19 cover if purchased).
- Travel against medical advice.

Reimbursement Procedure
If you cannot contact assistance directly due to force majeure:
1. Obtain a "CASE NUMBER" from Swan International Assistance.2. Send an explanation letter.
3. Submit official documents (Medical Reports, Police Reports, Original Receipts).
