A recording of "dinks and donks," strange sounds created by friction inside of InSight's seismometer, called SEIS.
Scientists aren't entirely sure what causes each of these sounds, by they are created by parts inside the seismometer contracting as they cool down, especially during sunset. These were recorded on just after sundown on July 16, 2019 (Sol 226). - NASA
